Metahuman in 'Storm Warning' Update Trailer / War Thunder

Supported Gaijin to bring in motion capture data and retarget onto UE5 metahumans for content publishing. I worked with the team consulted them on best practices for mocap with Metahumans. Dagor engine was used to create to shoot all the non metahuman scenes for a cinematic trailer. Tackling Unreal Engine for the first time, the cinematic lead brought his magic to new heights, creating stunning visuals with MetaHumans that wows the community. My part on this was to watch over his shoulder suggesting best ways to work with Metahumans and realtime mocap data. Watching him take on this challenge and crush it was seriously impressive. He brought me on to the team help getting around with motioncapture workflows in UE5.. Gaijin Entertainment is a unique company in the game dev space that develops its own game engine called Dagor. The cinematic brings rendering that are from UE5 and composited mixing both engines the Best of both worlds. There were some challenges, but with Łukasz Łoszkowski experience around Dagor engine and my Unreal head filled with tips&hints it was cool to see it all come together so quick! What made it even more special he successfully pulled it off under a tight deadline. It’s a proud moment for me as an instructor that I was able to guide and it all worked out!
